In the lab

1. Count total number of primary branches.

2. Cut one primary branch and bring to the lab.

3. Separate primary, secondary, tertiary branches and so on.

4. Calculate volume of each branch order.

5. Combined to calculate the total volume of the sampled branch.

6. Multiply sample branch volume by the number of primary branches counted.

7. Derive total branch volume and add to stem volume.
