Placental histopathology

Circulatory changes are moderate and suggest maternal vascular alteration. In the intervillous space, thrombi, hemorrhage, calcification and a light/moderate fibrin deposit are observed. Deciduous and subchorionic region with moderate fibrin deposit and presence of thrombi.

Presence of circulatory changes: retroplacental thrombus and fibrinoid necrosis in the wall of deciduous vessels.

Presence of an area corresponding to old infarction, suggesting maternal vascular alteration. In the intervillous space, fibrin, foci of calcification and hemorrhage are noted, as well as moderate deposition of fibrin of the de decidua.

Placenta of increased size for gestational age. Vascular changes are mild and nonspecific. In the intervillous space there are foci of calcification and hemorrhage. The deciduous has a slight deposition of fibrin and fibrinoid necrosis in the wall of some vessels.
