Context

A resource is provided for a defined period. It must have the capacity to maintain an agreed level of availability among the actors during the period of use of the resource

Definition of the measure

It is expressed as a proportion of time during which resources are available in relation to time during which they should be.

with T_w the service availability time and T_f the time total use of the service. This value will be compared to the promised availability rates by the supplier to assess the quality of availability of the resource
