The liver becomes inflamed because of more and more fat accumulation

3) Liver fibrosis

Formation of scar tissue around the inflamed hepatic tissues and nearby blood vessels

4) Liver cirrhosis

Final stage of NAFLD this severe stage occurs after many years of inflammation finally leading to liver failure. Permanent damage to liver.
