Caution

For this test, make sure that the person does not have balance problems due to dizziness and that he or she is never the victim of a loss of consciousness. It is recommended to be very vigilant (a person must be ready to intervene) if loss of balance occurs.

Purpose

To measure the strength of the lower limbs and the ability of the muscles to contract to produce movement.

Material

A chair with a backrest without armrests placed against a wall or in such a way as to keep it immobile.

Directions

Do sit-stand squats for a period of 30 seconds, arms cross over the chest (Standing means standing upright and knees straight).

Measurements

Count the number of lifts.
