RA, BHA, Ac. valproic and forskolin

The bone marrow of adult Sprague-Dawley rat.

Pre-induction with RA 1 μM per 24 h. Subsequent induction with BHA 160 μM, KCl 20 mM, ac. valproic 1.6 mM, forskolin 8 μM, hydrocortisone 0.8 μM and 4 μg/ml of insulin.

24 h.

83.17% demonstrated by morphological changes of neuronal nature.

Neuronal morphology was observed under a microscope.

RT-PCR increased nestin, NSE, MAP-2, Tau, and Tuj1.

Immunostaining for nestin, NSE, Tuj1, and Tau and by WB.

Negative resting membrane potential, demonstrated by Patch-clamp.

Increased intracellular Ca+ concentration after K+ stimulation.

RA

The bone marrow of adult Sprague-Dawley rat.

Induction with RA 20 μM.

48 h.

80% and 70% were demonstrated by positive immunofluorescence for NSE and NF-H, respectively.

Neuronal morphology was observed under a microscope.

RT-PCR increased NSE, NF-H, β-tubulin III, and MAP-2.

Immunostaining for NSE and NF-H WB.

Negative resting membrane potential, demonstrated by Patch-clamp.
