Null and alternative hypothesis

Hypothesis 1:

This hypothesis was formulated to test the difference between the mean scores in the pretest of the experimental and control groups.

Ho1: There is no significant difference between the mean pretest scores of the control group and the experimental group with respect to the six critical thinking concepts.

Ha1: There is a significant difference between the mean pretest scores of the control group and the experimental group with respect to the six critical thinking concepts.

Hypothesis 2:

This tested the difference in the mean scores between the pretest and posttest of the experimental group and the mean scores of the pretest and posttest of the control group.

Ho2: There is no significant difference between the posttest and pretest mean scores of the experimental and control groups with respect to the six critical thinking concepts.

Ha2: The difference between the posttest and pretest mean scores of the experimental group is significantly higher than the difference between the posttest and the pretest of the control group with respect to the six critical thinking concepts.

Hypothesis 3:

This hypothesis was formulated to test the difference in the mean posttest scores of the control group and the experimental group.

Ho3: There is no significant difference between the mean posttest scores of the control group and the experimental group with respect to the six critical thinking concepts.

Ha3: The posttest mean scores of the experimental group are significantly higher than the mean posttest scores of the control group with respect to the six critical thinking concepts.
